It will only take about a minute and a half. I would so appreciate it. He is in high school but taking Sociology as an AP course and he is really trying to get good grades.

(17,600 posts)1. sort occupations alphabetically (unless the ability / will to find your occupation is part of the survey design )
2. #9 should be clear if it is just referring to gender discrimination. My answer to 9 and 10 is different depending on whether it is gender or ethnicity discrimination, or some other form of discrimination. (For my answer I assumed it was only referring to gender discrimination because that was asked on a previous question. But I wasn't certain.)
3. on #10, I wouldn't consider "once a month" to be "extremely rare". Maybe that's just me? Anyway I think the option descriptions could have stuck to just the frequency (i.e. just "once a month or less often" .
4. also #10 is about frequency, not severity. I would think being excluded from promotion to management is more severe than having an amorous coworker give you a light squeeze on the shoulder once a week or so (assuming nothing else is implied or done). But the promotion exclusion wouldn't happen as frequently.
But for a high school kid it is very good. My feedback should only be taken as constructive!

(41,205 posts)I have suffered little gender discrimination, but have suffered discrimination at a certain stage for other reasons, so found it hard to answer one or two questions.

(22,772 posts)Those are great questions. My only feedback would be to distinguish between your current position and at any time in your career. I've felt discrimination in the past but not in my current position - so that was a little challenging for me to answer.
He did a great job!

Sociology is fascinating - hope your son enjoys the course.
