(17,086 posts)I was there for Tina, but he did exceed my, admittedly, low expectations. Put on a good show. I'm kind of shocked he's still touring, though.

I never saw him perform, but I have a DVD of a live concert he did in Lisbon, Portugal about 15 years ago, and it is probably the best live concert (on DVD) I've ever seen.
They love him in Europe.
His lead guitarist, Keith Scott, is one of the best I've ever seen & heard.
He does a lot of charity concerts and gives all of what he earns from his photography work to a charity.
Recently, he canceled a show at Raleigh, North Carolina because of the new law there regarding the LGBT's use of bathrooms

"Downsize This"
I forget what city he 's in but he gives a talk at a mall to about 200 people, and later on he goes just a few blocks away to where the lead guitarist for Cheap Trick lives, and the guy invites him in, & they chat & MM tells him that he just gave a talk at the mall down the street and the guy says "Yeah, we play there next." (he wasn't kidding)
