Eat What You Want
Day Many people spend time stressing over their diet, and what they should or shouldn’t eat, mainly because today’s world is filled with magazine covers sporting perfectly toned, perfectly tanned models that constantly make us feel inadequate. The various health food fads that seem to come and go every few weeks definitely don’t help, either—as it turns out, a gluten-free diet is not particularly good for anyone who isn’t actually allergic to gluten, juice cleanses deprive us of the protein and fat our bodies need to function properly, and taking too many vitamin supplements just makes our urine expensive when our bodies flush the excess. If you, like many people these days, are beginning to feel disillusioned with all of these things, you will be glad to hear about Eat What You Want Day. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/eat-what-you-want-day/

Root Canal Appreciation Day Tooth pain is not a laughing matter, and for anyone who has experienced that discomfort prior to having treatment from an endodontist, Root Canal Appreciation Day is a big, big event. For teeth that have been damaged or irritated to the point of infection, the root canal procedure not only prevents worsening or abscess, it also preserves the tooth and maintains the integrity of the natural bite. Don’t worry; there’s no need to rush out for an unnecessary root canal just to celebrate the day. Recognizing the importance of dental health and its connection to overall health is enough. Root Canal Appreciation Day can be honored by acknowledging the dental specialists who relieve tooth pain and take care of smiles, and by celebrating the resilience of our teeth and their enduring ability to keep on chewing and keep on smiling. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/root-canal-appreciation-day/

Receptionists Day is dedicating to reflecting the importance and hard work of receptionists worldwide, who are often responsible for providing a good first impression to customers, staff and VIPs, as well as keeping the day-to-day operations of an organisation’s customer-facing aspects running smoothly and efficiently. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/receptionists-day/

Third Shift Workers’ Day celebrates those who lead more nocturnal lives. Do you ever spare a thought for the nurses, fire-fighters, supermarket shelf-fillers, and all the other brave people that work the graveyard shift while you sleep soundly in your soft, warm bed? They’re the people that really keep the world turning, yet they might as well be invisible as far as most of us are concerned. Inhabiting the strange, monochromatic world of dreams, they keep us safe from harm, make sure our packages are delivered on time, and see to it that our morning croissant is freshly baked. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/third-shift-workers-day/

2nd and 3rd. Happy to be on first shift now and I have a great deal of respect for the folks on the other two.

No management to worry about. Higher productivity, less stress. And no traffic, either. I felt like I was stealing the shift differential.

to 3rd shift, but it pretty much just tore me up. Did it for awhile, but happy to be a first shift person now and hopefully that will be the same until it's time to exit.
