(19,565 posts)If he's just less passionate, it would be an odd change for GoT, I will say. Still, it would be much better than I'd imagined could have taken place.
So far, for the little we've seen, he's mostly still thoughtful and much like himself. Who knows where that's going to go in the end, though.

(19,565 posts)He's that type of character.
Not that I like him, but he's slippery, and damn good at pulling his bacon out of the fire and realigning with a winning (at that moment) team. He's going places still, I suspect.

(5,815 posts)If you go back to the pre-season trailers, you saw Yara making out with a Volantene (I think) prostitute - identifiable via the slave tattoo. So, there's a thought Yara will play the Victarion role and be sent by Euron to go bring Dany back. I guess we'll see. We're already four episodes in, so I'm wondering how they'll develop all of this with only a little more than a half season to go.
herding cats
(19,565 posts)The important part is the alliance and the fleet after all.

I'm not sure how I feel about a blanket Dany fire immunity, but I do like that she will be escaping via her own agency and plotting rather than the lizard of plot advancement.

(5,815 posts)The Others killing Waymar Royce was the first scene in the very first episode, when Benjen was still in Winterfell talking with Jon about joining the NW.
So, it's unlikely. I still wonder if we'll ever find out about him. GRRM has said, at the end of the series, some mysteries will remain mysteries.
