Thus spake Crowley, aka Fergus MacLeod, aka derelict King of Hell, as he was pitching a consortium plan to demons to defeat Amara, The Darkness on Supernatural, one of the most fun shows on cable.
I love Dean and Sam Winchester and the dialogue on this show. So much fun!

(35,015 posts)And of course the obvious - Dean and Sam are really easy on the eyes! Did you ever read "Good Omens"? Supernatural reminds me of that book quite a bit.

I started watching Supernatural several years in, and had to catch up. There are some great episodes, hysterical ones, in the seasons involving the Apocalypse. The Titanic epi, and the one where the brothers enter a parallal universe where they are actors in a show called Supernatural, etc.

(35,015 posts)Just about finished with Season 7. Did you know Jason Padelecki (Sam) is a huge Spurs fan? He tweeted a pic while at a playoff game here in SA. I'm still sad about losing to the Thunder, especially since we may not see Timmy or Manu again.
Here's a bit from the Good Omens wiki page - looks like a miniseries is coming. I hope they do it justice.
It is the coming of the End Times: the Apocalypse is near, and Final Judgement will soon descend upon the human species. This comes as a bit of bad news to the angel Aziraphale (who was the guardian of the Eastern Gate of Eden) and the demon Crowley (who, when he was originally named Crawly, was the serpent who tempted Eve to eat the apple), respectively the representatives of Heaven and Hell on Earth, as they have become used to living their cozy, comfortable lives and have, in a perverse way, taken a liking to humanity. As such, since they are good friends (despite ostensibly representing the polar opposites of Good and Evil), they decide to work together and keep an eye on the Antichrist, destined to be the son of a prominent American diplomat stationed in Britain, and thus ensure he grows up in a way that means he can never decide between Good and Evil, thereby postponing the end of the world.
Unfortunately, Warlock, the child everyone thinks is the Anti-Christ is, in fact, a perfectly normal eleven-year-old boy. Due to mishandling of several infants in the hospital, the real Anti-Christ is Adam Young, a charismatic and slightly otherworldly eleven-year-old living in Lower Tadfield, Oxfordshire a rather idyllic place to grow up. Despite being the harbinger of the Apocalypse, he has lived a perfectly normal life as the son of typical English parents and as a result has no idea of his true powers. He has three close friends, Pepper, Wensleydale and Brian, who collectively forms a gang called by grownups Them.

(61,695 posts)My guess is that they bet on Spurs/Mavericks games. I love the Spurs. I'm from the David Robinson era, and I really love how well Pop put this team together with Tim and Manu. I know there are rumors about Pop retiring. They say he and Tim are like father-son.
I believe Jensen was one of Jared's groomsmen at his wedding to the lovely tiny brunette, now Genevieve Padalecki, who played the Ruby character who got Sam to kill Lilith and release Lucifer. They have two kids now.
Jared is tall, like 6'4" and Jensen is as well at 6'1". We grow them big in Texas.
Jensen was on Days of Our Lives, and clips show up in the episode where they are in a parallel universe. I just about wet my pants watching them as Sam and Dean, try to act the parts of Jared and Jensen playing Sam and Dean. Misha Collins was a scream as well.
Aren't most of the angels dicks?
I adore Crowley and his mom Rowena. I'm so glad they brought her back from the dead.
That Omen story looks really interesting.

(35,015 posts)The two of them probably do bet on games. I remember Jensen from Days of Our Lives because of my mom, I need to watch that parallel universe episode, sounds fun!
Most of the angels are dicks (bitter because they don't have any fun) and I'm glad Rowena came back too. The show does a good job of blurring the lines between good and evil.
I've heard that Tim and Pop are close, and I've heard Pop say he's done when Tim is - so I have a fantasy about Tim taking over as coach. It probably won't happen but I wish it would! Love the young guys on the team too - hope we have Kawhi for the long haul.
