Too much noise too early. Grass still wet from dew. It feels muggier in the morning anyway, even if it technically "cooler".

That's just me.

I would have no problem starting my lawn mower as early as 8am.

to begin weekend yard work. It's also the time I kick the kids outside to go play.

I won't start before that but 8:00 is fine.

Hot summers, and too warm for my taste springs and early falls.

It feels even muggier in the morning, and I hate grass that clumps up when you mow it wet.

Or replace the lawn with cobblestones and a shade so you can sit outside on warm days.

I live in an apartment now but there was a time when I loved mowing. There was an immediate sense of gratification and accomplishment when it was done and that perfect trimmed look was there for me and the whole world to see. And the edging. I was a stickler for that.

Between first light and 9AM is the best time to use your chainsaw the cut up those tree limbs by the drive way.

Using a string trimmer an hour or two before you mow gives a nice smooth appearance to your lawn. (Always trim at full throttle to prevent the spark plug from fouling).
