The power line @ the end of the block was hit last night. No electricity, lots of sweat.

I slept kind of okay last night, but honestly if it is still off tonight, I'll weep. I sat outside this early afternoon, in the shade drinking lukewarm water and watching several cops ( line on the street) & the electric company working until I was so hot I decided the library was a better bet. I might be going to a movie later, just to keep coolish. In the greater scheme of life, this is small stuff, but I really hate it when I sweat into my eyes.....whine.

back in February of 2007 we had a cold spell of windchill factor @ about -20 to -30 degrees. I was a teacher and we were off four 4 days. My condo was okay temperature wise, but my now 86 year old mother and I decided to go to the movies, where we knew the heat would be on and it would be comfortable.

We got to the theater, paid for the tickets went inside and it was freezing cold, I had to go out to the car and get 3 blankets so we could huddle and watch the movie.

Maybe that visual will help you.
