Who has been to Brazil? To Rio?

In 1997, we visited the first exchange student we hosted. She and her friends drove us from Sao Paulo to Rio, other cities and towns, and made sure we had a wonderful experience. It was my first trip out of the U.S. except for a vacation to Canada, and I fell head over heels for the whole country, even though we saw only a tiny bit of it.

Say the ladies are insane there, and they sure know how to use it
They don't abuse it; never gonna lose it
I can't refuse it

First, one of the young people we met, singing 'Son of a Preacher Man' and dancing in the street as we unloaded the luggage at 2 in the morning. The other, a bunch of us sitting at an outside cafe in Ipanema, at 1 in the morning, discussing the meaning of an American rock and toll song. I can't remember which one. I wish it could be 20 years ago
