'Holy Sh*t, Is That A Cat?' Man Claims to Own New York's Largest Pet Feline, Weighing 28 Pounds

https://www.yahoo.com/news/holy-sh-t-cat-man-201600150.html

Meet Samson, the 28-pound kitty whose owner claims is New York's biggest pet cat.

The purebred Maine Coon that reached Instagram fame under the pseudonym Catstradamus, weighs 28 pounds and measures approximately 42 inches long.

While the 4-year-old kitty weighs so much bypassers can often be heard yelling, "Holy sh*t, is that a cat?" his owner, Jonathan "Splurt" Zurbel, 42, insists Samson reached his gargantuan size naturally....

He estimates that because Samson is about three times the size of an average cat, he eats about three times the amount of food, and uses three times the amount of kitty litter in the litter box.

Oh, puh-leeze! I was once friends with a kitteh in nearby Fairfield, Conn. who weighed 32 lbs. after he'd been to the vet with diarrhea!

There are heavier cats out there -- this guy is not obese, he's big-boned, and how !

...which, judging by the grunt I let out when he jumps into my lap, is bigger than 28 pounds.

And yes, it's a high-pitched grunt...

and regular size litter boxes weren't big enough. I finally found something that was supposed to be
for small dogs trained to use it in the house and I still had to have a second litter box out for the two of them.

Mouse's father--I presume because Mouse looked just like him--was the biggest cat I'd ever seen. When I went to this little
old cat lady's house to get "free kittens" Mouse's father was asleep on a chair and he covered the entire seat of the chair and was
still hanging over it a bit. I figured he had to be at least 25 lbs.

Ones. One of my co-workers has one that weighs in at the mid 30s.

Beautiful cats. My wife and I were talking about getting one.
