I considered skipping my final pre-deployment leave to do it, as it was only 3 weeks, but I chose instead to go home on leave. So I ended up as a 'leg' in the 101st. Never even saw Ft Campbell until a reunion there many years later.

And for 6 nonths of Infantry OCS at Benning, my barracks were on the end, facing the jump towers.

I mean, that could have been a tub of tomato juice and he was acting his ass off. Seriously, who would put their head in that stuff. It would get in your eyes. Nope, I'm not buying it.
