"In lieu of flowers, a donation to the NRA is requested."

An old friend passed away 3 weeks ago. His memorial is tomorrow. We were fairly
close 30 years ago, and as time went by and I saw him less--well, he must have changed.
He listened to Rush Limburger, etc. I guess he was also a bigot (I never knew).
In the past few years I only saw him a few times, usually at a restaurant we both
liked. The last time I saw him, at the restaurant, about 6 months ago, he was singing
the praises of Trump. I asked if he was kidding. when I saw he wasn't, I told him, (my
last words to him) to go away because I wanted to keep my food down. Now, in lieu
of flowers, a donation to the NRA is requested. I will attend the memorial, but the
donation is out of the question. How weird......
