(23,691 posts)Kittens growing quick, seem even bigger than yesterday. Mom's breathing seems to also be less rapid. Looking good.

(22,264 posts)Flea products are toxic for these little guys. Even mom should not have a flea collar with tiny nursing babies

(23,691 posts)Kittens open their eyes about seven to ten days after birth. At first, the retina is poorly developed and vision is poor. Kittens are not able to see as well as adult cats until about ten weeks after birth. Kittens develop very quickly from about two weeks of age until their seventh week.
Fla Dem
(23,691 posts)10 weeks until they can see clearly.

(21,889 posts)I watched Shelly's visit tonight and she mentioned the Weather Channel would be livestreaming the kittens 5:00-6:00 eastern time. At the time she wasn't sure if it would be on the Weather Channel online or on the tv.
I've never watched the Weather Channel before because..... weather. but hey, if they are going to start livestreaming kittens.... well.......................

(65,406 posts)I have a longhaired dilute calico with markings very similar to hers.
Starling has become so socialized that she won't be going back to the forest at all. Shelley has said so in a FB post about the death of Reese, who was hit by a car.

(23,691 posts)Starling watches intently. but is basically unfazed. She has a wonderfully expressive face and her eyes are beautiful. She seems so comfortable with Shelly, you'd never know she is a feral. Looks like a couple of the kits' eyes have opened. Real obvious in one of the gingers.

(23,691 posts)The 2 gingers really stick close together. I wonder if they know they're twins. Yes I know they all are "twins" but I mean the same.

(23,691 posts)They have been together every single second of their lives. They''ll be so lonely when they don't have a pal to snuggle up with.
Fla Dem
(23,691 posts)If you catch them during their play time they are just so adorable to watch. Mama Starling sometimes just sits there with a look on her face that seems to say, "What HAVE I done".
