New passion, new outlook for Joanna BakerHorse and rider team up for dressage honors
http://www.bensonnews-sun.com/news/article_c66a98e0-7f4d-11e6-b8d6-bb282c14fa9b.html
Joanna Baker has discovered a rather unique retirement hobby, one that has become her passion.
And now Baker, who is 76, hopes her story inspires seniors everywhere.
Baker and a horse named Maggie have been inducted into The Dressage Foundation Century Club after passing an introductory level dressage test at the St. Georg horse show on Sept. 10 in Sonoita. The Dressage Foundation formed the Century Club in 1996 to recognize horse and rider teams whose combined ages total at least 100 years. To qualify for membership, there is an application process, and the horse and rider must pass a test at a dressage show or event that is scored by a dressage judge or professional.

more at link including history of dressage (which I did not know, so I may need to apologise to my fancy horsey friends for teasing comparisons to ranch horses that do actual work )

(23,691 posts)2. What are you confused about?
It's a nice story about a 76 year old woman. That's what the DU Lounge is for. Sharing day to day good news, jokes, laughs, rants, etc. Not much to be confused about.
Welcome to DU 😊
