Having ridden British trains for decades, I thought the setting contributed greatly to the mood.

from London to New York, I wondered if it would ruin the story. But it didn't at all. Emily Blunt is British in the movie and the grey cloud covered cinematography sets the mood.
For me, it worked.

I'm reminded of a fairly decent "train" mystery titled Derailed, where a NY family man's life is shattered by a chance encounter with a gorgeous, stunning, exotic fellow commuter.

So Hollywood cast Jennifer Aniston as the irresistible femme fatale.

What did she end up drinking on the train?

Glad to hear the story remained good. This was a much better book than Gone Girl in my opinion.
