Nincompoops running around in clown masks and get-ups, we get swift, decisive action on multiple fronts. Breathless news coverage, retail outlets pull the offending gear off the shelves, public officials make multiple pronouncements, and police are on alert.

People getting gunned down in the streets every day all across the country, we get a shrug and whaddyagunnado?
