(9,527 posts)Astronomy is the scientific study of everything in outer space. Astronomers and other scientists know that stars many light years* away have no effect on the ordinary activities of humans on Earth.
Astrology is something else. It's not science. No one has shown that astrology can be used to predict the future or describe what people are like based only on their birth date. Still, like reading fantasy stories, many people enjoy reading their "astrological forecast" or "horoscope" in the newspaper every day.

(10,893 posts)I don't act like a typical Gemini. I'm usually quiet and shy except around my family, I'm not much of a flirt unless I'm talking with a girl who I know well, I don't get bored as easily as some of my non-Gemini friends and relatives, and some people have told me that I look stiff and overly serious. Yet my sister and my parents love to compare me with one of my older brothers (who also happens to be a Gemini), even though we have led totally different lives.

(16,296 posts)Ophiuchus /ɒfiˈjuːkəs/ is a large constellation located around the celestial equator. Its name is from the Greek Ὀ???ῦ??? "serpent-bearer", and it is commonly represented as a man grasping the snake that is represented by the constellation Serpens. Ophiuchus was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd-century astronomer Ptolemy, and it remains one of the 88 modern constellations. It was formerly referred to as Serpentarius /sɜːrpənˈtɛəriəs/ and Anguitenens
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiuchus
Ophiuchus holding the serpent, Serpens, as depicted in Urania's Mirror, a set of constellation cards published in London c. 1825. Above the tail of the serpent is the now-obsolete constellation Taurus Poniatovii while below it is Scutum
