Jul 5, 2014 - HUDSON HIGHLANDS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — What's being called a micro-earthquake struck Saturday morning under the Hudson Highlands in the Hudson Valley. Seismologists said the quake registered at a 2.5 magnitude when it hit at around 10:46 a.m. It was about 3 miles below ground, they said.


I felt this one.

But the epicentre was only about 8 miles away.

I literally sat down on the bed at the exact moment it happened and felt a shiver/back spasm when I did so. I didn't think anything of it until my wife walked into the bedroom and asked if I had felt it too.
