Strange questions, I think

I was in a consignment/used stuff shop the other day. There was a Boston RedSox jersey available for $30. It had Curt Schilling's name embroidered under the collar.

Question 1: Any way to tell is this is a legitimate player's jersey?
Question 2: Since Schilling is a revolting human being, is it ethical of me to buy the Jersey and then maybe sell it for a profit when this buffoon runs for the Senate in MA in a couple of years? Or would it just make me dirty? Or is the price likely to plummet to zero, like Trump's credibility?

Whatever you MIGHT make on reselling the shirt, it's not worth it. Fla Dem Nov 2016 #1

Just the fact you acknowledge he's a revolting human being should make you want to walk away from it. Besides, most sports memorabilia isn't really worth anything unless there's a verifiable autograph and some provenance.

I don't want you to be upset if you find out it could be worth a few bucks more that what you might pay for it. There is a CS autographed uniform shirt listed for $179.
