I noticed while shopping yesterday that copper cups to make Moscow Mules were displayed front and center in several stores. Also noted that the bar I ate made a great Moscow Mule. In past years most bars did not have a clue what a Moscow Mule was, if I ordered one. Does this surge of Moscow Mule popularity mean anything?
Re the tRump Putin connection?? Discuss. Or not.

(10,112 posts)I had never even heard of one, but went out with some people and that's what they all ordered. I try not to drink often, so I did not partake. I did see the mugs at Walmart.

(38,021 posts)They fit into the whole fancy mixed drink and re-discovered classic cocktail thing going on. I'm cool with it because I dig the mugs and I adore the newfound availability of ginger beer.

(5,694 posts)I have since seen references to it at least a dozen times, not to mention I flew to London from California for Christmas a few days ago, and they're selling the copper mugs in Tesco. Moscow Mules must have some high priced publicists!

(12,132 posts)(white Elephant gift exchange) I noticed quite a few gift box kits with the fixins and copper mugs for Moscow Mules but it does seem like those would have been made up and ready to stock well before the election so I doubt it's a TrumPutin thing.
I've been seeing more about them in the last year or so but have never had one. I do love me some White Russians though.
