While I studied music for a while, I was never quite in to Mr. Ives. But now that I know who his "Rollo" was, I suppose I could be offended, but then this is all just 1's and 0's.

Moi, I was more fascinated with edgelings like Erik Satie, who had a sort of mad genius. I mean, he called the police on a woman who was infatuated with him.

Did you know what "Volvo" means in Swedish?

Actually, it's not Swedish, but can be loosely interpreted as the Latin version of "I Roll".

Has nothing to do with me, even though I can be dependably boring when the situation calls for it.

Satie, Scriabin and others..very interesting lives and music.

I actually played in the second performance of Ive's 4th Symphony back in..1966 or 67.

And, I think, an inspiration for the Marx Brothers.

The famous stateroom scene in "Night at the Opera" was probably loosely based on an actual avante-garde "performance" in Paris in the teens or 20's when the audience was instructed to show up at a certain location, each with a suitcase. Well the location happened to be a rather small room. It was probably much like the movie, except I doubt anyone got paid.

Satie's "instructions" in his scores were also hilarious. Completely non-sequitur but occasionally deep.

Sometimes I get psychic relief by conjecturing that Trump is just a botched reincarnation of Erik Satie.

unless the UN is removing Trump's administration as well. With Pence running the show, things would still be woeful.

Of course Trump could veto a UN SC resolution, assuming he wasn't too busy tweeting about the size of some trivial event.

with token representation from other nations.

The UN without the US military has no ability to attack the US.

Like when I would call Republicans fascists and shit, there was always a little honest part of me that knew I was exaggerating certain things. You know? I adamantly opposed them on practically all the basic issues but I didn't think they were honest to gods, full on ready to start the Fourth fucking Reich crazy people. Not like this.

But they really are. Friends and family of mine are really fervent supporters of the worst of this. The ugliness and hatred I see from people who never expressed any political position before this Тяцмр travesty has been very disappointing and not a little shocking. People I really thought were cool buy right into the racial defense mode crap with little prodding. I'm afraid this could get ugly, in real life.

Your question is purposefully absurd. Nice.

Do you really think this would be good for the world?

Obviously Trump is an ass, but even he looks like a kind-of OK guy compared to the tin-pot dictators that run most every country outside Western Europe, the Anglosphere, and Japan.

That asshat in the Philippines (? country in Asia) that's killing drug dealers/users? I believe he called Obama a "monkey."

Various actual cannibals in Africa? Eating dissenters has a chilling effect on political discourse.

Saudi Arabia where gays are murdered? And women's privates are mutilated so she cannot orgasm?

China that has slave labor and Internet black out?

Iran that prays for genocide of Jewish people and everyone in the USA? Whose leaders are in a weirdo cult that actually wants Armageddon?

Ergoden in Turkey who wants to be the next Sultan (or "Grand Poo-Ba or whatever it's called to be the boss of all Islamdom).

Seriously, grow up. Trump is a bad guy, but on the scale of bad guys in the world he's a 6.5 and there are plenty of 10s.
