Saw "Paterson" today.

It was sweet but seemed long and slow-going. Adam Driver was wonderful and so was the young woman who played his wife. My friend, a poet, liked it. There's no way to spoil it because nothing really happens.

He was believable and really made his role. Like you say though, it's a movie about the mundane, repetitive aspects of life. In a way, it's an allegory for what so many are feeling today....life is stuck but we wake up and do the same every day, even if it's the same as the day before, but always having a shred of hope. The movie certainly isn't for everyone, but I enjoyed it.

And I'm certainly not sorry I saw it. I did worry about that damn dog all through the movie, though.

I was more worried that something was going to happen to the dog and Paterson was going to have to tell his lovely bride.
