The tax assessor

I bought my first home last year and today I received a letter in the mail from my city stating they would like to schedule 10-15 minute appointment for a tax assessor to view the inside of my property. I'm inclined to ignore it, but if I do that then I lose the ability to appeal the city's appraisal. I'm wondering what other people's thoughts are?

use to have property in Wisconsin. If you refuse, well the Assessor, depending on who he or she is,will use three to four Comparable's to determine your Mill Rate and Market Price for Tax Level.

Sounds like your County is doing a Reassessment do to Budgetary issues. Good Luck, knowing from past experiences with a couple of County Assessor's,the persons were not objective and in that lies some real issues.

Walkers Wisconsin working for the people, yah right.
