My 2yo LG (T-Mobile) crapped out days ago and I need to replace it...like now.
Any recommendations much appreciated.
Will have to change carriers in 2 yrs, so a very long life is not necessary but I use the heck out of my phones (I keep apps to a minimum tho).
Tanks.

(38,506 posts)She likes it better than Samsung Galaxy S6. But maybe you should skip it and buy health insurance!

(28,125 posts)Will check the Pixel - from reading online reviews, it appears to their better one.

(3,847 posts)you can't have a smartphone any more or phone service for that matter. You'll have to for unaffordable Obamacare.

(28,125 posts)But I like mac computers, so I should give it a thought for sure. But there are two things: the price and the non-removable Li-Po battery - what to do if it fails?
Thanks, Eliot.

(20,204 posts)I'm happy with my Stylo 2, but I've only had it for a year. BTW, I get unlimited talk, text and data from Boost (Sprint network) for $35 a month, NO CONTRACT. The first 2 gb of data is high speed.
Duppers
(28,125 posts)Don't think they make it any more. It's two yrs old.
That's a GREAT deal you have there from Boost! I'll look into it.
Thanks, TexasBushwhacker! (Always loved your handle.)

(20,204 posts)I put money on my account (reboost) so that it's automatically paid, and that includes tax!

(22,107 posts)Not really any problems with it for the past 3+ years. My honey has been having an issue with his charging lately, but if he uses my charger, its fine. We have AT&T for provider.

(28,125 posts)The Samsung's come recommended by others too. I'll sure ck it out.
Btw, are you going to post any more pics of your critters soon, my friend? I know, I know...you've a hundred things to do, including getting weeding done and breaking ground for your upcoming gardens.

(7,530 posts)They also have Android stuff, but I just got a new iPhone SE for $179 on a special. They sell iPhone 5 as cheap as $99.
Unlimited talk/text and 5GB data is $35/mo, $30 if you register a card to autopay.

(12,132 posts)and my wife and daughter love their S7 and S7 edge
But I had a google phone (Nexus) before and when time comes to trade in this Note5 I will look hard at whatever iteration of google Pixel there is. People I know who have it now love the Pixel. And camera features are high on my list.

(5,829 posts)I needed new T-Mobile phone cpl yrs ago. Liked Samsungs had before but warning about susceptible keypads came out at the time. Rep suggested HTC (he had one). I'm mostly pleased w/ it. Drawback on mine is loss of fully manipulating bookmarks as easily as before. Phone has rather large memory; is very App friendly.

(4,492 posts)Whatever phone you end up getting, when possible, use the charging cable that came in the box for the phone as opposed to a $5 one that you can pick up at Target. A Sprint repair person told me many battery issues are caused by knockoff cables (Android only--- this Sprint shop sends all iPhones to Apple for repairs).
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4. Love it, but it is a 2013 phone which I'm very well aware is not made anymore. I'm holding out until the S9 comes out (S8 will be announced this month, so another year).
