SNL has always been a treasure to watch during the elections. Some of the great presidential (and presidential candidates) impersonations have come from SNL and this fall would be Sudeikis time to shine. Sure last election he was 2nd string doing Joe Biden (and a great impersonation) but this year he would be front line with his great impersonation of Mitt Romney. I'm sure SNL could have some memorable and great debates between Mitt and Obama (Fred Armisen), perhaps he could stick around until after the elections and then leave SNL.
So who were some of your favorite SNL political impersonations?
Probably my favorites include:
Will Ferrell as George W. Bush (he could do that 'deer in a headlights' better than anyone else)
Tina Fey as Sarah Palin (Rumor has it she didn't write anything just repeated what Palin would say)
Phil Hartman as Bill Clinton (My favorite was when Clinton was jogging into McDonald's - http://www.hulu.com/watch/276473/saturday-night-live-clintonmcdonalds-cold-open)
Post your favorites!

(6,996 posts)In the McDonald's sketch when the Secret Service guy says to Clinton there will be hell to pay if the First Lady finds out about this Hartman says, "There's a *LOT* of things the First Lady isn't going to find out about." My favorite SNL line.

Fey as Palin is beyond awesome... Darrell Hammond was a great Bill Clinton.
