Anyone else a fan? This series has been surprisingly good, IMO.

Ran for 4 seasons on Starz. Pirates and politics in the Caribbean.

Turned out to be surprisingly good. Well acted and excellent CGI where needed. Lots of intertwining story lines.

Tried to read the history of the pirates to look for parallels.

Well, at least the series sent me looking for the facts. And that's worth something.
