I know for a fact that roaches will survive.
I know this because a small roach got into the microwave, I did not see it, and nuked a frozen pot pie. After 3 minutes, I opened the door and the roach was still running around.

SO, did you consume the delicious pot pie or not?? Hell, I would - I grew up in the South with those BIG-ass "palmetto bugs" and have had a few run-ins with gangs of the little ones as well...ewww to all, but someone needs to survive what's coming goddamit

They may "zap" things, but they really don't "nuke" them.
