My youngest daughter was in her crib when the shaking started and her crib, which was on wheels, skidded from one side of her bedroom to the other while she stood there, holding on the to rails and laughing. She really enjoyed it! For me, my wife, and the older kids, it wasn't quite so much fun.

I wasn't born yet, but my sister was six days old. She and my parents were living in North Hollywood and they all woke up when the earthquake struck. I don't think my sister enjoyed it like your daughter, but fortunately they were all OK, just a few broken dishes, I think. I'm so glad that dam held up!
