OK! Just rotated the winter/summer clothes, organized closets and dresser, shoes, (North-east)

Anyone else doing the big move it up, move it down, spring sorting?

I can't get to work with all these sweaters in my closet. Too hot for them now.

I love getting that job done!!!

I always hear George Carlin in my head, the skit about stuff and needing room for it. He's so right.

I did purge well last year so the job isn't as hard as usual. I don't think well early in the morning so I have to be organized to get out the door!

No TV until you get it done! Get off the puter!

and agreed, I'm not a great decision-maker early morning.... so I generally revert to Jeans. Jeans everyday, I can do better. I just unearthed my spring/summer skirts and I have quite a cute collection. That's my new goal, wear skirts occasionally. We will see how that goes!

thanks for the push... computer is off!.......

closet. (my daughter's closet). I don't have enough winter stuff to bother moving it.

I do have a lot of very light weight long sleeved tops which are useful 9 months of the year (if it isn't cool weather, it is freezing air conditioning), and a vast collection of shawls.

There is this one dressy coat which gets to see daylight about 2 times a year if a cold day coincides with a Sunday

Due to limited closet space, I pack seasonal things in those big plastic tubs. Makes it easier to switch things around. Like now, I need that tub of capris from the garage!

but they hang in the closet until I need them. Yes, I am that lady in the thin, summer color shirt in January because of my issues with heat intolerance.

I do have some boots that won't be seen until fall. But that's it.

My husband just said this morning that he's going to change out his clothes to summer clothes today.

and beat them. Then they can roll them up and carry them up to the attic.

Well, not the orientals. The help can spread them out in the driveway when it looks like you'll get a few days of rain. After the orientals are good and soaked, the help can squeegee out the water and let them dry.

Back in the attic, the help can bring the summer carpets down and roll them out. Finally, the help can move the furniture back into position. That should do it for the day.

All that's left is for you to wait until Memorial Day, when you can finally wear white. Being improper simply will not do.

I hope it didn't sound like I was bragging: I have a small, old closet, so I have to keep off-season stuff elsewhere.

I bought my latest carpet at home depot for under $100.
Most of the clothing I'm moving was bought at Macy's on sale and at kohls, so, I'm not bragging. No brand names anywhere, and I use a purse for years, sometimes having it repaired before I throw it out. My only brand-name purse is baggalini, because they last forever.

I don't mow the lawn because I discovered I'm horribly allergic to many leaves, and wound up in the hospital for 3 days on an iv. Gotta make sure that never happens again.

My clothes come from thrift stores. Regarding household chores, if I don't do them, they don't get done.

I didn't mean to come across as critical.

About 8 PM I heard a loud crash and thought my husband had fallen and knocked something over in the bedroom. Go back to look and he wasn't there. However, my closet door looked funny (bi-fold doors). The rods and shelves in the closet had collapsed, pushing against the doors. EVERYTHING had come down.

Huh. Now I have clothes all over the house while I wait for another closet organizer set to be shipped. The handyman came and looked at it yesterday and told me it had been put up with the wrong kind of fasteners and that's why it collapsed. He'll have to repair the drywall and attach the rods at different heights, too.

Sigh. If only I'd removed the winter clothes when I thought about it Sunday morning.

Luckily, it's just a closet so it won't be see after they repair the drywall. When I put in my own closetmaid wire stuff I made sure to get into the studs.

Yikes!
