I'm working a gig in DC tonight.

I had some down time and took a walk on H Street. As I approached 16th Street, I saw a chain link fence between H Street and Lafayette park, the White House is just south. The fence is tall and goes the whole block. As I was staring at the fence a passer by says "We must be in Mexico." It cracked me up.

Ironically the construction in the park is, in part, to fix drainage issues. Yonnie3 Jun 2017 #6

Not sure why. You can get around it and get to the White House if you want. I was able to do so a couple weeks ago.
