Would you ever go to The Break Room?

Someone told me about this place recently. It's where you can go and break things. You can even take your own things to smash if you want.

I can't bring myself to do it. It goes against everything in me to think about breaking things. I am always trying to NOT break things, lol. I don't have any kind of inner rage either so this place just doesn't sound appealing to me.

You?

It's not beneficial to our health.

But it can be fun!

But I've been known to punch a hole in a wall or break a plate or two!

If I'm going to do it, I'd prefer to take my aggressions out on things rather than people.

but in my twenties, i worked at a huge office tower, and around the block was a dive bar called The Break Room, we all loved it, esp for the name.

I have been know to smash things. Always my things - never anything valuable. And most of the time I am pretty inept at smashing the object on which I focus my rage. One time an object bounced back up and hit me in the head. Talk about instant karma!

(I found out that my grandfather, who died before I was born, had a similar temper issue. He had a very different type of temperament from my father, and I find it pretty interesting how many of grandpa's personality traits I have seemingly inherited.)

Anyway, my life has taken a much better turn, and my stress level is now MUCH lower. I'm able to have about a 99.9% success rate for taking a deep breath and walking away. But throwing things, whether they smash, or not, can be very cathartic.

I see people on TV throw things and I think "Would anyone really do that?" I guess there are people who might!

as noted above. I wouldn't want to clean up the broken stuff either. I guess this place does all that for you.

the recycling center in my small town would let you come in and throw glass bottles at a wall. it was pretty popular.

during my first divorce i sorta fell in love w breaking glass.
