The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsA question to the oldies.
Who remembers those decorative liquid bath soaps or bubble bath that were encased in a transparent, round shell? If I remember correctly, you would run them under the faucet and the shell would disintegrate, freeing the contents which were very fragrant.
Anyone remember them?

(23,314 posts)I recall thinking they were awesome back in the day. Lordy knows what chemicals and coloring agents were in them, however.
I'm 52...am I an oldie??

(23,314 posts)Some days I feel like 25. Some days 65. Depends.
On another note, I'm happy to see your handle! I have lots and lots of Texas customers at my business. Sadly, not one of them progressive and you would not believe (or maybe you would) the crazy that I have to listen to when they call me. Holy hell. I am a little blue dot in my big red state - just like you, I'm guessing.

(12,157 posts)About the site:
Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.

As Lazlo Toth noted, "It says: "KEEP DRY". How can you use it if you keep it dry?"

(24,259 posts)Bath bombs fizz those oil/bubble gel pillows don't. I have friends who are into making the bath bombs. I loved using them back when I could still soak in the tub.
Here's some pics of bath bombs for reference:

(24,259 posts)I'd throw them in the tub... let them soften a tiny bit and then POP them in the water. Not quite as good as bubble wrap but a bit of stress relief at times. :-D
