The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsSo, whatcha all doin' today?
Me...watered the flower beds, filled seed and suet, started mowing the lawn...lunch...more mow. Now will water the driveway garden. Then change hummer food, make yogurt, tonight out with my wife and her best friend to a pub for a pint, bite and fireworks. Home to catch the end of the red sox game. So....just an ordinary day.
Hope you all have a great day doing what makes you happy!

(1,370 posts)My squad is on duty today. Nice quiet duty day, bar-b-qued burgers, etc. No PT 'cause we're going to do a PT test tomorrow after shift. After work, watch the fireworks across the valley from our balcony - last night we watched fireworks going up from more than a dozen places. On the 3rd! I was surprised, I though everyone would wait for the 4th.
Best wishes to all on the 4th - resist~!

(67,452 posts)I swam up river for about 150 yards two days ago. I lost an inner tube that was heading to a dam. I rescued the inner tube, but had to push that thing upstream and swim. I was outta breath. I couldn't ditch the thing because the water was over my head and I knew I didn't have the stamina to go the distance.
I've gotten out of shape since the election.

(38,018 posts)I sewed two cheap, long white scarves together to make a kimono-type robe/vest thingy. I'm too pale for solid white so I'm gonna mark it up with permanent markers, then spritz it with rubbing alcohol to give it a tie-dye look.

our favorite spot to watch fireworks is postponing due to fire risk, so may sit on a hill and watch two other towns from a distance.

Planted 10 little pine trees in the front field. Just stopped for some cantaloupe and cottage cheese, then back at it.

(25,563 posts)Seven of us stayed at a place in the Texas Hill Country and came back yesterday. We had fireworks over there. We ate a bunch of food. My son's wife loves to cook - alot.
I went to the gym earlier today.
I'm watering my yard right now.
I really should be doing more work in my yard.
Ever since Trump was elected it has been hard for me.
