I won't get involved in a political debate on Facebook

I won't get involved in a political debate on Facebook
I won't get involved in a political debate on Facebook
Just keep repeating that to yourself Ed.
No matter how stupid what the right wing "friend" is saying.
It will do no good.
Just take a breath and repeat:
I won't get involved in a political debate on Facebook
I won't get involved in a political debate on Facebook.......

My rule on FB politics debates: I fire back when fired upon.

Otherwise, I pretty much know which of my friends and relatives either lean right or are outright wingers. I even had an Uncle unfriend me over my support for Obama. C'est la Vie. Generally, debatign them is an exercise in banging my head against a wall. Instead, I find common ground with them, such as "liking" pictures of bikini models.

I do like to see what winger talking points are being spread through FB though. Lately, I see posts on the impending race war.

a lot of times I am friends for other reasons.
It is just hard not to respond to stupid or ill informed right wing posts.
Especially if the person thinks they are making an intelligent point.
But i have found FB is just not a good place for political debate.
