I love that show and always wondered why Sheb didn't display much humor or goofiness like this song or his later character 'Ben Colder'

Rawhide was a great show and had a lot of humor usually revolving around Wishbone the cook and his louse Mushy. Considering his great sense of humor I always found it odd that he didn't use that much in Rawhide.

Fun song!

how many hours I spent in bed late at night with the speakers parked next to my ears (this was before I had headphones) so I could keep the volume down low and listen to Dr Demento.

I was an adult before I found out that one of the guys singing Fish Heads, Fish Heads, Roly poly Fish Heads was Will Robinson (Billy Mumy) from Lost In Space. I would have loved it even more had I known.

"What's green and has wheels?"

ANS: "Grass. I was just kidding about the wheels."

Don't ask me why, but every time I hear that song I think of that stupid joke.
