when all the pee is gone, our dog lifts his leg as if to say, "this is what I would do if I had any pee left." I love my dog, he'll be 15 tomorrow.

Wild guess: one of the Finger Lakes of upstate New York. Maybe Honeoye? Looking northward from the south end?
