At the end of it the male stars come out and dance in platform shoes to "Dancing Queen." It was deliciously funny!

I saw her for the first time in Holocaust tv series in 78 (had to look it up) & then The Deer Hunter not long after. I was astounded by her sheer talent. And The French Lieutenant s Woman.

...but it was only a supporting role. She wasn't a big star yet, and the part was smaller.

He directed that movie and also wrote the hauntingly beautiful theme song, Doe Eyes.

That love scene with Meryl and Clint in the bathtub...
