hoist her big butt up into the SUV. We are going to the vet this afternoon so I'll get to lift her twice. Pity my poor aching back tonight!

They're too heavy to get up into the truck without help.

When we see help being needed,
we should not assume laziness.

My last dog wasn't heavy until he injured his hip. When he couldn't run as much as before, he gained a little weight. What made him stop being able to jump into the truck was the bad hip, not his weight.
