My memory of Tom Petty that will never die....

RIP & no we won't back down....

Just remembering back in the late 70's early 80's I lived in Sausalito Calfornia.

Tom had a spot on the local radio station. "This is Tom Petty & I'm on-pause-hell I'm not telling you what I'm on but you are listening to KPOJ(I think) Radio....

My personal encounter...

Tom Petty was a local & lived up on Mt Tamalpais IIRC. He drove a red Ferrari 308 GTB & was a frequent sight around town.

I was heading into the 7-11 next to my house & the red Ferrari pulled up Tom Petty driving. I stopped just shy of the door.

Out "bounced" a very buxom blonde and she went straight to the champagne & bought a bottle returning in under a minute.

I just stood there-shell shocked drooling- I don't remember. It was just soooo Rock N Roll I'll never forget the moment.
