Yesterday there were two.

And I live outside of Chicago. Last week our daily temperatures were 75-85F during the day.

I'm still running around in my bare feet, outside, and my pepper and tomato plants are STILL producing!

Last year we picked our last Krim variety tomatoes around Thanksgiving.

This beauty has been in my garden for a couple of days, now. Always flitting around those mums.

Here in California's central valley (yes, some of it is still un-burnt!) I've seen what one could call SWARMS of these Painted Ladies. I've seen it at least two times in 27 years. The surrounding fields and farms would have many, many of these flitting about over fields and farms. You couldn't help but get the front of your car plastered with them Within a couple of weeks the phenomenon faded away.
