(1,979 posts)I think goofiness belongs on The Price Is Right. Bring on the flames.

(6,212 posts)his antics are childish and annoying. It's starting to get stale at this point.

(27,813 posts)He lost me when the woman next to him was introduced as an English professor and when it came to him and Alex asked him something about his education, he said basically snorted at the concept of higher education - I thought he was being quite rude (or he didn't listen to what the other player had to say).
I don't like miming in general though, so things like his pretending to open a bottle of wine don't do anything for me.
He is still, still, way better than Arthur Chu and his Chu-Chu train.
I think that the people who get most irritated by any player on Jeopardy with mannerisms are the ones who like to play along at home (that would be me) and find all those antics distract me from doing so. Arthur Chu was worse in that regard because he would start out a category I liked and then you knew he'd jump all over the board and maybe never come back to it.

(62,416 posts)but I record the show and skip the commercials and interviews so I have no idea what his personal story is that may be irritating.
Seems to have some humor and is not overly obnoxious. Arthur was about the only player I really disliked. I watch more for the questions and don't usually care much about the players.
