Haven't needed it yet (still on my jar of Kraft's) so curious. Is it as good as the TV commercials claim? Couldn't find a smaller jar to try it, so I have what seems enough to feed several hundred sandwiches...

(36,458 posts)I understood Hellmann's is sold east of the Rocky Mountains...even though this graphic is indicating east of the Mississippi River (sort of).

(12,132 posts)I liked their commercial and it made it looks so good. So I bought a jar. DId not like it.
Hellman's for me and I apologize to them for doubting.
Now, with that said, I'm not above a little Miracle Whip now and then too. Mayo for turkey but other things can use MW.
when I was in 5th grade the neighbor kid (who I didn't really like but he was the closest kid around to play with) was constantly eating mayo and Cheeto sandwiches. Nothing else - just mayo and Cheetos. He was kinda gross.

(29,219 posts)Have a jar of Giant brand in the fridge, which is also very good. As long as its REAL mayo and not the diet/low fat garbage.

(45,018 posts)I tried it and won't be going back to Hellmans's (which was my go-to brand since forever).
Comes in classic, organic, vegan and other varieties...

As for Kraft?? Ew, Is it even mayonnaise? So sweet and artificial tasting. Never liked it.
(On edit: I'm talking about Kraft Miracle Whip)

(27,827 posts)When I moved across the Great Mayonnaise Divide, I was kerflummoxed that I couldn't find Hellman's, so I just bought what looked the closest, and after about two years, I noticed the little blurb on the back that said, "Known East of the Rockies as....."

(5,810 posts)Since I live in the south, I naturally heard that Dukes is supposedly favored in the south. So I bought a jar and gave it a taste test. Yuck on the Dukes. Too slimy and too sweet. My grandmother liked Miracle Whip, but I found it to be way too sweet. So Hellmans it is and I promise never to stray again!
