Russell Brand's political views

What do people make of the views expressed by Russell Brand? Do you think that he's point should be more widely shared or is the idea of radical taxing and revision of TNC profits a thing of impossibility?

Brand has an amazing grasp of the big picture when it comes to what govt should be...he calls what we need a 'spiritual' revolution...that we embrace the basic tenets of oneness, humanitarian focus and eco-sustainability... I for one look forward to this revolution!

Strangely I had a dream last night that I was running a campaign and the focus for the candidate was a sort of 'spiritual compassionate' political agenda...it was very real and very inspiring!

As I said in this thread, he's pretty impressive for a pretty boy! He actually seems to have a handle on everything pretty well. Since he's got some celebrity AND seems to have a handle on things, I say spread it!

Welcome to DU and Socialist Progressives BTW.

clout and supporting some other way of leveraging politics, whether it is another candidate or some other idea.

It does need to be combined with creating income in some way, perhaps cooperative purchase of a business like Mondragon, so they can gain power and sustain themselves. Because in this world, so far, the control of money has been the only thing that anyone really pays attention to. They will need to find some way to produce, and avoid living in such a way that they create debt which makes them beholden to the powers that be.
