UNITE HERE settles contracts with two hotels

MINNEAPOLIS

UNITE HERE Local 17 has settled two of nine hotel contracts expiring this year, the union announced.

The Hilton and Marquette hotels in downtown Minneapolis, which employ a total 400-450 Local 17 members, have agreed to five-year contracts expiring in April 2019.

“We got a good contract,” reported Martin Goff, Local 17 senior vice president. “They’re going to set the standard for everybody else.”
