MC Supreme dead: 1990s rapper's parked car hit by suspected impaired driver

MC Supreme, a rap star who had a hit with "Black In America" in 1990, is dead after a pickup truck slammed into him while he was sitting in a parked car.

The pickup driver was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence, Variety magazine reported.

The accident occurred Saturday morning along the shoulder of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California.

The rapper, whose real name is Dewayne Coleman, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles coroner's office. A woman who was a passenger in the Honda Civic suffered injuries and taken to the hospital.
