Scenes, story, actors and music from classic films stolen by The Artist (2011).

I finally watched this tonight. The list of "borrowing" from other films could be really long. But there is one scene I can't quite place.

It is the stair scene where the two stars are "talking" and people are walking all about on different floors ans staircases. I think it was stolen from King Vidor's 'The Crowd' (1928). But I'm not sure. IMdB or any other site I googled don't mention it.

BTW, George Valentine reminded me more of John Gilbert than Douglas Fairbanks, because Gilbert's career really went to hell.
