"The Enemy Below" is a good one, and was remade as a Star Trek episode, "Balance of Terror", where the Enterprise first fights the Romulans.
I note that they're not showing "Run Silent, Run Deep", a Robert Wise film.

A fun flick, in spite of the anachronisms.
Don Rickles is a stand out. "Stop ringing those cockamaimie bells!" "A deal deal! Maybe the guy's a Republican."
Donald Sutherland: "Don't give me those negative waves, Moriarity!"
