Where he plays an unfortunate supporting role, that of the top European Soviet spy, Yazkov. He nevertheless adds to the light-hearted spy comedy.
It's a minor gem, with Walter Matthau and Glenda Jackson carrying the weight. Ned Beatty and Sam Waterston also add good contributions.
