TCM Schedule for Friday, July 20 -- What's On Tonight: Stanwyck Pre-Codes

During the day, we are celebrating the life of Natalie Wood, born Natalia Nikolaevna Zakharenko on July 20, 1938, in San Francisco, California, and died November 29, 1981 -- too, too young. Had she lived, she would have become a first-time grandmother on 30 May 2012 when her eldest daughter, Natasha Gregson Wagner, gave birth to a girl named Clover Clementyne Watson.

In the evening, TCM is featuring a series of Barbara Stanwyck films, made in the anything-goes days before the creation of the Hayes Code. Enjoy!

I was expecting a couple of pre-code films in particular (e.g., Baby Face), but it looks as though they really went down into the vaults this time. It should be an interesting evening...
