I have both a Püchner and a Polisi bassoon. They are wonderful and eccentric individuals.

musical notes onna page, have no clue of a,b,c,d,e,f,g. "Every Good Boy Does Fine."

However, I was exposed to strictly ballet class at age 5, my pipecurls whirling in chaines. Thus my fondness for classical music and pretty much all instruments. [I can play chopsticks on the piano. 🤭]

I'm particularly fond of the oboe, bassoon, special horns, flute..

C'mon and play for me sometime. 🩷🤍🩵

And if you like The Arrival of The Queen of Sheba and want something more rare, maybe you would enjoy the uilleann pipes.

Which reminded me of the hornpipe. Of which selections are few and far between on YT.

I presume he’s not representative.

Listening to the WQXR operavore channel. (Recommended!)

24 by 7 opera arias.

There! An aria from Rinaldo with a bassoon doing the basso duty. (Contra?)

Music Ed. I love the thing, always sat next to them in the orchestra but having to learn it almost made me quit, well not really. Big beautiful music but quite difficult to play if you are small. PLUS, bassoon players are really very cool people.
