I have an LP buried in the closet of his which I think involved whale sounds set to music. My favorite is "The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam".
I love poetry read to a musical background.

I don't believe I have Middle Eastern roots, but who knows!

I am fond of the mystical sound of the music/ cadence, and esp. the food of these peoples.

My immediate ancestors coming from Czech region may have had theirs migrating up from Mid-East?!
